About Zambia

Zambia is still a relatively unknown safari destination, but has some fantastic National Parks, including the Luangwa National Park, Kafue National Park and The Lower Zambezi National Park. The amazing Zambezi River, including the Victoria Falls, forms the border with Zimbabwe.

Zambia has some of the greatest natural scenery on the continent - a gently undulating plateau of forests, savannah and marshland - studded with lakes.

For safari travellers that are prepared for an adventure, Zambia is a fantastic destination. Zambia safaris offer great attraction for those who want to experience the real Africa, with the wildness and rugged beauty of its sanctuaries.

Zambia, a landlocked country in south-central Africa and is surrounded by Angola, Zaire, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. The country is mostly a plateau that rises to 8,000 ft (2,434 m) in the east.

Zambia is a fairly stable peaceful country. It is only starting to realise the potential of the tourism industry and this sector is likely to grow considerably over the next few years. Budget airlines have started operating from South Africa, with flights from Johannesburg to Lusaka. This, together with other major airlines, will open up Zambia as a safari destination. Zambia?s close proximity to South Africa means that it is also likely to benefit from the World Cup tourism in 2010 and beyond.
