GPS coordinates by Safarimappers
GPS Coordinates of Safari Lodges & Camps
This site uses GPS coordinates to present safari lodges and camps. We rely on our wide network of travellers, our user community
and the lodges themselves to provide these coordinates. Let us know if you think our coordinates are wrong!
Our intention is to provide these GPS coordinates to our registered users. Please bear with us while we continue working
on the site and get our registration functionality working. In the interim, our safari tour partners
have been given all the coordinates and will provide these to their clients, on request.
Our future plan is to allow users to create their routes of their safaris and also to log Geocaching data in Southern Africa
and East Africa.

GPS is short for global positioning system. GPS devices tell you your exact longitude and latitude (it gets the information
from orbiting satellites).
Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage
of the features and capability of a GPS unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all
over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates
to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked
to do is if he or she gets something is to leave something for the cache. We use GPS coordinates collected (Source: Geocaching.com)
