About Bayethe Tented Camp
Bayethe Lodge, a luxurious, five star tented lodge is set in an unspoilt
landscape through which flows the Buffalo River. The deck of the lodge is
the ideal vantage point to take in the surrounding landscape and visiting
wildlife in this private game reserve. The lodge is situated in a malaria
free area 72 km north of Port Elizabeth in a region whose ecosystem enables the
reserve to host a wide variety of animals and birds.
Experience the luxury of your own private thatched tent when staying in
Bayethe Lode. Each tent is air-conditioned, has a small private swimming
pool and a viewing deck, where you can sit in the shade of the trees and enjoy
your own private view of the river.
Activities include both early morning and evening game viewing drives in open Land Rovers, guided nature walks and bid
watching.Game viewing is excellent here and one can expect to see some,
if not most of the following: White rhino, elehant, buffalo, lion, giraffe,
hippo, black rhino, zebra, black and blue wildebeest, springbok, blesbok,
red hartebeest, gemsbok, eland, kudu and bushbuck.
