About Gorah Elephant Camp

The Gorah Elephant Park is the first private concession in the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park. Situated along the Garden Route in South Africa?s Eastern Cape. This premier lodge in a National Park that has all the Big Five animals and is home to the densest elephant population on the planet.

The romantic atmosphere of the eleven spacious and luxurious tented suites, recalls the golden era of safari in the early 1900's but has all the comfort and excellence associated with Africa's finest game lodges.
The Eastern Cape is well-known for its friendly hospitality and Gorah is no exception. The Gorah House has been restored to its 19th century colonial splendour and is period furnished and delivers meticulous service and attention to detail to ensure the comfort of their guests

The Gorah experience perfectly compliments your Garden Route adventure and is close to the coast and the many other attractions that the Eastern Cape has to offer. Children are well-catered for at Gorah Elephant Park.

Whether experiencing the majesty of elephant herds gathering around the waterhole, or encounters at matchlessly close range, the Gorah experience is unique and awe-inspiring. With arguably the best elephant viewing in South Africa, Addo is also home to the Big Five animals, numerous antelope species and a wealth of birdlife.

Explore the bush with experienced rangers, in open vehicles, on foot or horseback, or simply relax at the pool and soak up some African sunshine.
