About Mara Explorer Camp
Mara Explorer is a luxurious riverside permanent tented camp
situated under a canopy of trees in the heart of the Masai Mara National
Reserve. Being so close to both the Mara and Talek rivers, the Mara Explorer
provides guests with the luxury of viewing the any visiting elephants, giraffe
or lion from the comfort of their own verandah or, alternatively, from their own
unique outdoor Victorian bathtub! Each of the 10 exclusive and spacious tents
are decorated to the highest standard, which you will find, pales in
significance to their outstanding views of the river.
Daily Game drives are the highlight of your stay in the Mara Explorer Camp.
Their professional guides give you the opportunity to explore the less
frequented and underdeveloped areas of the Mara where elephants, buffalo, impala
topi and gazelle frequently graze. Leopard, cheetah, lion and rhino are often
sighted and outside of the migration there are some of the best big cat
sightings in Kenya.
Following a long day of satisfying game viewing, guests can enjoy the
personal service of the camp and choose for dinner to be on their private
decking or alternatively join the rest of the group by the camp-fire or the
open-air riverfront dining area. Other facilities include a camp library and
swimming pool.
