About Jaci's Safari Lodge
Jaci's Lodge is situated at an ideal spot overlooking an established and well
known used waterhole, under a grove of Tambotie trees, near the banks of the
Marico River. The main complex is spacious, open plan and curved around a huge
termite mound. The lodge is decorated with Jaci's outrageous yet stylish flair, which
incorporates colour, artefacts and novel ideas with work in harmony, under shady
trees overlooking the waterhole. Meals come from an ultra modern open plan
kitchen, while dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the boma
under the stars, or out in the bush at a barbeque surrounded by nature.
At Jaci's Tree Lodge - luxurious silk cushions, cotton bed
linen complimented by burnt orange suede beanbags, invite you to lie on the deck
to admire the stars or curl up in front of the fireplace. The open plan bathroom
features an enormous stone bath and handmade copper taps as well as an outdoor
"jungle" shower. There are only eight double rooms and the exclusive Nare Suite
at Jaci's Safari Lodge. Each one faces out over a dry river-bed
which acts as a walkway for game on its way to and from the water hole. They
each have a "tented" interior, walls of local stone and a cool thatch roof, for
giving that special African bush feeling. A charming built in, en-suite
hand-made rock bath with an outdoor "safari" shower, and fans to keep a gentle
breeze flowing.
Jaci's camps pride themselves in being child friendly lodges. Children of all
ages are welcome. Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own Game
Drive during the day by one of our rangers - this is a kiddie's drive and is
geared totally to the children's interests and age level. Babysitters are
available.
