About Nguma Island Lodge
Nguma Island Lodge is set on the banks of one of the largest lagoons in
the Okavango Delta: Nguma lagoon. Situated in one of the most beautiful places
in the world; the heart of the Kalahari Desert the Okavango is the biggest oasis
in the world and home to a huge variety of birds, wildlife and fish.
With an exclusive view of the Nguma lagoon, this luxury lodge consists of
eight large safari tents, each on a raised wooden platforms under thatch.
Each tent has electricity and en-suite bathroom facilities in an attached reed
boma with flush toilets and hot showers. The tents are linked by an
elevated wooden walkway to the central pub/dining area of the lodge.
Activities at Nguma Island Lodge are mokoro excursions, delta boat trips,
sundowner cruises and island walks.; This area is ideal for its fishing
also. April to August bring the opportunity for bream fishing, whilst
Tiger fish can be caught year round.
